Diabetic Status of People Affected by Leprosy in Donorojo Leprosy Recovered Village: A Cross Sectional Study

Background: Just like diabetes, leprosy also cause painless neuropathic ulcers which process is mediated by Schwann-cell. Biochemical changes on patients presumed to have role pathogenesis of diabetes mellitus. Methods: This study cross-sectional aimed know further about diabetic status population people affected leprosy, as the preliminary prove association between mellitus and leprosy. Data, such status, type grade disability, other variables are collected from 127 in Donorojo recovered village.Result: Result showed that 19.7% having mellitus, 23.6% pre-diabetic condition. number higher than prevalence Central Java (2.09%) Indonesia (2%).Conclusion : Further research needed status. All should be recommended routinely screened for
